New GA - Brianna Burns, HPP Meeting, IdeaLabs

New GA - Brianna Burns:

Brianna Burns is a Hiram senior originally from Memphis, Tennessee and is set to graduate in May of 2022 with a degree in Integrative Exercise Science. She is a current member of Alpha Zeta Theta, Black Student Union, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion officer for SAAC, 3rd year captain of Cheer & Stunt, and also East Hall's Head Residential Assistant.

Bri has interned as an assistant coach for Cheer & Stunt as well as the strengthening & conditioning coach for football. She has worked as a Hiram tour guide for four years and Resident Assistant for three years. Lastly, Bri is a brand ambassador for Aesthetic Accessories which is ran by a Hiram Alumni, Nikkia Schady.

Next year, Bri will be the Graduate Assistant (GA) for East Hall. As a GA, she will conduct programs specific to those in the Entrepreneurship and Business Management fields of study in hopes to promote business networking among the students of Hiram. She wanted the position because she has been an RA for three years and wanted to expand more within the field of Residential Education. Bri is mostly excited to work with students and also host a few pop up shops for those who have a small business on campus.

Bri is looking forward to entering a new part of her journey and being able to continue her education through Hiram's Master Program. She will be a great addition to the Entrepreneurship Department!

The program celebrated with Subway sandwiches and other refreshments while discussing Toastmaster events, relationships with mentors, how to be politically correct, and a summer agenda. Many of the HPP members will be completing internships and gaining work experience throughout the summer.

On April 7th, the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium (ECC) hosted their 2022 IdeaLabs event where eleven schools presented their business ideas and competed for prizes.
