Three-Week at LaunchHouse

This week was the first week for the LaunchHouse 3-week course. The course splits students into three different groups and allows them to work exclusively with a company at the LaunchHouse. The first group of students are working with Whoa!Dough, a delicious and healthy cookie bar company. The students are tasked with finding ways to bring the cookie bar directly to the consumer. The second group of students are working with a black owned minority business that developed an algorithm to find distressed properties. The business then purchases the homes and collects rent until the property is sold. The students in that group are tasked with writing blogs as a way to bring awareness to the community of the services they offer. The last group of students are working with a company called Haowen Cultural Foundation, a non-profit that helps international high school students find a college that fits their needs. The students in this group are tasked with redesigning the website in a collaborative effort. Overall, the LaunchHouse 3-week is a great course for students to experience working with companies in a real world environment.
