Ashland partnership, Pinstripes & Kaela Mcmullin

Current Events

On October 27th, Hiram College and Ashland University joined forces to offer an accelerated program where undergrad students can take pre-requisites and some classes that count toward a master's degree at a discounted rate. This is an amazing program that will greatly benefit students who participate because it will jumpstart the progression of a masters degree. Night at Pinstripes

On October 28th, Hiram College entrepreneurship students were able to join Professor Kukurza and Director Strukel for a night at Pinstripes. Those who joined the event had a great time socializing with each other while bowling and eating amazing food such as tenderloin sliders, barbecue chicken, and margherita flatbread. Be sure to keep an eye out for future events offered through entrepreneurship at Hiram College so you don't miss out on great events like this one!

Student Spotlight - Kaela Mcmullin

Kaela is a Business Management student from Bedford, Ohio. She is set to graduate in the Spring of 2022 and is a member of both the Eclectic Scholars and Entrepreneurship Club.

Over the summer, Kaela did an internship at Enterprise as a Management Trainee. She worked 40 hours a week and set up rental car reservations, made coverage sales, and washed cars. The internship helped define her customer service and communication skills. She plans to return to the company after graduation.

Kaela loves the entrepreneurship minor because she learned a lot and was connected to mentors. The mentorship program is her favorite aspect of the minor because it allows her to talk with a professional who is already successful in their field. She recommends students take an entrepreneurship course because it is a great opportunity for networking.
